Travel diary 2013

During the morning 8 of us have the chance to attend a meeting organized by Augustin BRUTUS. The theme is « how to improve women conditions in India ? ». Women and men (Indian and French) express their ideas and experience in a very respectful way, the meeting is very fruitful. Then this small team goes to Coimbatore airport in order to welcome Marie-Hélène and Ella that just arrive from France to join to Caravan, then join Ooty. The rest of the group directly joins Ooty (7 hours drive) and discovers wonderful landscape i.e. mountains, forests and tea plantations. The weather gets incredibly colder, some of us are even freezing. Once arrived in the ashram, the Swami offers us an hearty welcome. Some of us intend to sleep outside in the mosquito tents, but they give up because of the cold and also the buffaloes that wander around. The night is restful thanks to the quietness and the cool.
